Sambal Dragón was founded by Tina Wilssen, a chef heart and soul. At just twenty-one years old, she was already a chef in her first Mexican restaurant in Benalmádena, Spain. Subsequently, she worked in numerous restaurants as a consulting chef, training teams and elevating dishes to a higher level. Cooking, creating, and taking on new challenges remain her greatest passion to this day.
Throughout her career, Tina collected flavors from all over the world: Mexico, Spain, China, Vietnam, Senegal, and many more. As a traveling mother of five children, her love for all things food and fire only grew.
When her second son, Bas—also passionate about cooking—proposed that they create a truly exceptional spicy condiment together, the spark for Sambal Dragón was born. After an intense phase of research and experimentation, a unique fusion emerged: spicy yet perfectly balanced, with subtly sweet, savory, and sour notes. A true explosion of flavor full of character.
